SR&R made a name for itself by cleaning up after other companies, agencies, and individuals.  We’ve handled millions of gallons of contaminated wastewater from spills, leaks, or industrial processes.  We’ve handled countless tons of contaminated soil.   And we’ve done a tremendous amount to help organizations reduce or correct their environmental impact with the aid of our remediation services.  But in honor of our 20th Anniversary, we’ve decided it’s time to focus on our own impact as well.  As part of our “Making a Difference” program, we’re taking a close examination of our own policies and procedures to find ways we can recycle, reduce, and reuse.

The first and most dramatic step has already taken place.  Over the last two years, we have phased out our older, less fuel-efficient sales and support staff trucks in favor of more fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles.  Though this has come at considerable expense to SR&R, these new vehicles have already proven to be over 400% more efficient than their older counterparts!   And though we are very proud of our progress, and this is a big step in the right direction, this “Making a Difference” program is one of continuous, ongoing improvement.  With this in mind, we will periodically share articles documenting the ways in which SR&R strives to be part of the solution, not the problem.
