Photography in wet wells, manholes, and tanks can be an invaluable resource for inspections. However, this is often impossible due to the presence of explosive Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Methane, or other gases which will ignite if the incorrect equipment is used.
Using internally sealed “intrinsically Safe” cameras designed for use in flammable atmospheres, SR&R can provide confined space entry inspections and reporting. These are particularly useful in the condition assessment of wet wells and sewer structures that can’t easily be taken out of service or properly ventilated.
